Information collected

• Contact form details: name, email, company, website, inquiry type, and message.
• Newsletter sign-up details: email address, optional name, and the form used to subscribe.
• Credentials download details: your Google account name and email, sign-in account identifier, and the document and time requested.
• Technical details connected to contact and newsletter submissions, such as IP address and user agent.
• Admin-only authentication data used to manage the site.
• Google Analytics usage data, such as page visits and engagement.
• Microsoft Clarity interaction data, such as clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, and session playback, plus embedded media data when a visitor plays a video.

How the information is used

• To read, route, and reply to contact form messages.
• To understand whether an inquiry is a question, project, workshop, speaking request, or training request.
• To send new Notes to newsletter subscribers and manage subscription records.
• To verify credentials download requests, provide the PDF, and notify Joe of the request. Downloading does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
• To prevent spam, abuse, or repeated automated submissions.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.

Where the data goes

Contact form submissions and newsletter sign-ups are stored in Firebase/Firestore. Contact messages may also be processed by an email service provider so they can be delivered and answered.

Credentials downloads use Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication. Download request records are stored in Firestore, and your name, email, and request details are sent to Joe through the site’s email provider. These account details are not sent to Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.

The site uses Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings. It also includes YouTube no-cookie embeds for video content. These providers may receive technical and interaction data under their own privacy terms. Google explains how it processes data from partner sites on its partner-sites information page.

Personal information is not sold.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies to measure site use and maintain sessions. Browser settings can be used to block or remove these cookies. Cookies may also support admin sign-in, basic site operation, and embedded videos.

Google sign-in for downloads uses browser storage to remember your account on return visits. You can change the account in the download dialog or clear the site’s stored data in your browser.

How long information is kept

Contact form messages, credentials download records, and newsletter subscription records may be kept for follow-up, spam prevention, and business records. A deletion request can be made if the information is no longer needed.

Privacy requests

To ask for correction, deletion, or a copy of information submitted through the site, use the contact page.

Confidential information

Do not send passwords, private credentials, sensitive business data, or confidential materials through the contact form unless a separate agreement or NDA is already in place.
